What Helps The Itch Of Chicken Pox?

Taking the Sting Out of Chicken Pox

Chicken pox is one of the most difficult diseases parents have to help their kids cope with due to the overwhelming discomfort associated with the virus. Herbalist Rosemary Gladstar recommends an oatmeal bath to help ease the itching and pain of chicken pox. Grind dry rolled oats in a blender and then add one or two cups of the oats to a bathtub filled with lukewarm water. Let the child soak for at least 15 minutes and then just pat the skin dry but don't rinse off the oatmeal. Follow up with a cup of relaxing tea, such as lemon balm or chamomile.
