Did you know that ALL chili peppers offer antioxidant nutrients? BUT the hotter the pepper, the more capsaicin you get into your body. Capsaicin is extremely helpful in blocking a chemical that transmits pain signals through the nervous system and it can also actually soothe your mind by releasing mood-enhancing endorphins into your brain.The mildest peppers include Spanish pimentos, Anaheim & Hungarian cherry peppers - while the hottest peppers include Scotch bonnet & habanero peppers. Jalapenos rate in the middle of the heat index. So, pop some peppers at least a few times a week!
