Tip of the Week

How do you know if they are drained? Does this sound familiar? You wake up fuzzy and have to drag yourself into the kitchen for that much required cup of coffee just to face the day ahead, you rely on sugar snacks and caffeine to get through that "crash time" mid-afternoon. You find yourself barely breathing, except for big sighs. You lay in bed exhausted at night, unable to sleep because the day is repeating itself in your mind. Your enthusiasm for sex is somewhere else. If this sounds familiar, chances are your adrenal glands are running on empty.

The key hormones produced by your adrenals to process menopause healthily are adrenaline, DHEA and cortisol. The balance between DHEA and cortisol are critical to your daily health. There are some great adrenal restoratives at your local health food store. Most stores offer a qualified staff member to guide your choices to care for your personal needs.

What I found helped along with the adrenal building compound that I purchased was:

Vitamins C and E, pantothenic acid, B complex and magnesium. I included 5mg of DHEA. Siberian ginseng and licorice root are useful for adrenal function as well. Of course, whole foods, proteins and ample vegetables and fruit plus plenty of water are a given. It is such a relief to be down to a couple hot flashes each week from several dozen every day! Once your adrenals are built up, natural hormone therapy is a snap!
