The tip from these healthier Mediterraneans is simple. Pay attention to what you`re putting into your mouth. They eat enormous amounts of fruits, salads and tons of vegetables rich in antioxidants. Their food is also served up in a much less "processed" form, meaning they consume less highly processed, high-sugar, high-fat types of food.

Instead of over-indulging in butter, animal and hydrogenated vegetable fats, they reach for the olive oil. Garlic is a regular visitor to the dishes they prepare, and instead of red meat, entrees center around seafood.

So, think pasta, fresh and roasted vegetables, crisp green salads, rice,bean, and grilled or baked fish for more of your meals. Your body will thank you for your thoughtfulness!
