Battling Bursitis

Bursitis, the natural-pain-relief/index.html">inflammation of the bursa sacs, can make life truly miserable. There are some supplements that may ease the pain and they include vitamin B 12 (injections-intramuscular) and the regular B-12 and B-3 capsules. Calcium (1,500 mg daily) & magnesium (750 mg daily) are very important for the repair process in the connective tissue, as is Glucosamine sulfate (as directed on label). Proteolytic enzymes also contain powerful anti-inflammatory power.

Herbal remedies include Boswellia, cayenne, turmeric, ginger and white willow. Horsetail extract can also be useful because it supplies silica, which is a form of the trace mineral silicon, necessary for tissue repair & healing.

I have found great relief for tennis elbow pain by using emu oil, an absolutely wonderful anti-inflammatory. Hot castor oil packs (made by dipping cloth (cotton, flannel or cheesecloth) into very warm oil, wrung out and then placed on the body covered by a piece of plastic & a heating pad, may also bring some relief.
