Herbal Oils & Their Functions In Cleaning

There are some basic functions I look for in my cleaning products and I was surprised to learn just how valuable the properties are in many great smelling essential oils. If you´re looking for an antifungal, choose from eucalyptus, lavender, myrtle, patchouli, savory, tea tree or thyme. Antibacterial oils include chamomile, eucalyptus, juniper, lavender, marjoram, orange, rosemary, sage and thyme. Antiviral properties can be found in cinnamon, clove, eucalyptus, lemon, oregano, sandalwood, tea tree and also in thyme. A few drops to a basic homemade cleaning formula is usually all you need.
